Socialization of the Directorate General of Research and Development's Priority Research Programs for the 2026 Fiscal Year

The Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) of Hamzanwadi University held a Socialization event for the Priority Research Programs funded by the Directorate of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology for the 2026 Fiscal Year on October 23, 2025, via Zoom. All lecturers of Hamzanwadi University were in attendance as participants.

The Director of Research and Community Service at Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Shahibul Ahyan, M.Pd., as the resource person, conveyed that the call for proposals for research and community service grants for the 2026 fiscal year is being conducted earlier compared to the 2025 fiscal year, and is planned to open on October 28, 2025, God willing. Therefore, all lecturers must prepare their respective proposals well in advance.

DPPM Hamzanwadi University has planned a series of activity stages to support the chances of acceptance for proposals submitted by lecturers, ranging from socialization and sharing best practices to coaching clinics and proposal submission assistance. This is done so that the number of proposals approved for the 2026 budget can be higher than in 2025.

Several research schemes that lecturers from Hamzanwadi University can apply for under the Directorate of Research and Community Service are:

Basic Research: Regular Fundamental Research, Postgraduate Research - Master's Theses, and Superior Impact Consortium Research (RIKUB).

Applied Research: Model Output and Prototype Output.

The community service schemes include: Community-Based Empowerment, Entrepreneurship-Based Empowerment, Region-Based Empowerment, Kosabangsa, National Art Innovation Program (PISN), and Impactful Students.

Meanwhile, the schemes under the Directorate of Commercialization and Partnership are: Product Testing & Intellectual Property Strengthening, and Integrated Technology Transfer-Based Research Commercialization. The first scheme includes: prototype model testing, product feasibility testing, and intellectual property. The second scheme includes: Industry Pull, Technology Push, and SINERGI (an integrated technology transfer-based research commercialization scheme).

Finally, the schemes under the Directorate of Research and Development Talent Development aim to enhance talent, encourage publication, build communities, and support the ecosystem. The scope of this directorate's development includes proposals, research management, scientific works, and innovation outputs for students, junior lecturers, and senior lecturers. The priority research talent development programs are:

1.  Facilitation for Improving Scientific Articles:

    *   Supports lecturers, researchers, and higher education personnel in improving the quality of scientific publication manuscripts.

    *   Assistance in writing, proofreading, translation, journal format adjustment, as well as publication cost support.

    *   Encourages the acceleration of research result dissemination through credible scientific channels.

2.  Strengthening Research Talent Capacity and University Development:

    *   Provides funding in the form of training, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation for the implementation of research and innovation talent capacity strengthening.

    *   Implementation in the form of long-term training and workshops to yield concrete and impactful research outputs.

3.  Facilitation for Improving Scientific Journals:

    *   Strengthens the capacity of journal managers at universities and research institutions.

    *   Supports in the form of improving publication governance, compiling guidelines, providing tools, and developing management systems.

    *   Expands publication access for researchers and enhances Indonesia's position in the global scientific landscape.
