Hamzanwadi University Achieves Cluster Utama Ranking in 2025 Higher Education Classification

Selong, November 12, 2025 — Hamzanwadi University has once again received national recognition, being ranked as a Cluster Utama university in the 2025 classification system established by the Director of Research and Community Service, Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek). The official announcement was issued via Letter Number 1436/C3/AL.04/2025, dated November 4, 2025.

The higher education ranking system is classified into five levels: Mandiri, Utama, Madya, Pratama, Binaan. The Cluster Utama position places Hamzanwadi University in the second-highest cluster nationally. This achievement is a tangible manifestation of the institution's commitment to enhancing the quality of its implementation of the "tridharma" — the three core missions of higher education — particularly in the areas of research and community service.

Dr. Shahibul Ahyan, M.Pd., Director of the Center for Research and Community Service (Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat - PPM) at Hamzanwadi University, expressed profound gratitude and appreciation for this achievement.

"Alhamdulillah, this Cluster Utama achievement is the result of the hard work of the entire academic community — especially our lecturers — who have consistently improved the quality and quantity of their performance in research, community service, and scientific publications in the form of articles in national and international journals, books, and intellectual property-based innovations."

Furthermore, he emphasized that the increase in the SINTA (Science and Technology Index) Score was a key indicator of the institution's progress and visibility.

"Our campus's SINTA Productivity score has increased significantly compared to last year. This is not just a statistic; it is a crucial foundation for strengthening the research culture on campus and an effort to enhance Hamzanwadi University's visibility on both the national and global stages."
