DPPM Universitas Hamzanwadi Participates in Carbon Trading Socialization by BRIDA NTB
Mataram, April 21, 2026 – DPPM Universitas Hamzanwadi took part in the carbon trading socialization activity organized by the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. The event was held at the Lombok Raya Hotel Hall on Tuesday (April 21). Themed “From Emissions to Incentives: Understanding Carbon Trading for a Healthier Future,” the activity ran from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM Central Indonesia Time. DPPM Universitas Hamzanwadi was represented by Agus Muliadi, M.Si., Coordinator of the Environmental Engineering Study Program.
The event was officially opened by the Head of BRIDA NTB, I Gede Putu Aryadi, who delivered strategic guidance on the development of the carbon trading ecosystem in NTB Province. He emphasized the importance of carbon-based innovation as a response to environmental degradation and climate change, aligning with the policy direction outlined in the NTB Mid-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJMD) 2025–2029. The activity also featured speakers from academia, the Indonesia Carbon Exchange (represented by the Indonesia Stock Exchange in NTB), and the Coordinator of the Low Carbon Development Initiative (LCDI) for NTB Province.
The activity was attended by various stakeholders, including BRIDA/Bapperida offices from all regencies/cities across NTB, universities, research-based non-governmental organizations, and representatives from regional technical working units. By the end of the session, several recommendations were formulated, including strengthening cooperation between local governments and universities, developing a system for accessing research and innovation results, drafting standard operating procedures for collaborative research, and preparing policy briefs based on strategic issues to support the development of a green and low-emission economy in NTB.
