Patent Dissemination 2026 Encourages Regionally-Value Economic Innovation

Mataram, March 4, 2026– The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of West Nusa Tenggara held a Patent Dissemination event with the theme "From Regional Innovation to Patents with Economic Value,"which took place at the Aston Inn Hotel, Mataram. This activity is part of the support for the 2026 Thematic Year of Patents proclaimed by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property.

The event was attended by representatives from government agencies, academics, and communities in West Nusa Tenggara, including the Head of the HKI Center and lecturers from Universitas Hamzanwadi. The presence of the participants indicates a high level of attention towards strengthening intellectual property protection in the region.

The series of activities included an opening ceremony, speeches, and presentations on the direction of regional patent policies and strategies, as well as the techniques and procedures for patent registration. The material was presented by speakers from BRIDA of NTB Province and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of NTB, followed by an interactive discussion and Q&A session.

Through this activity, it is hoped to increase the understanding and capacity of the public and academics in developing innovations with the potential to be patented. Furthermore, this activity is also expected to encourage the creation of regional innovations that are economically valuable and competitive.
