The Geopark Study Center of Universitas Hamzanwadi Holds a Workshop on Sustainable Tourism Writing
Pancor – The Geopark Study Center of Universitas Hamzanwadi, in collaboration with the Ecco Foundation, the BASAibu Wiki-NTB community, and the Tourism Study Program, held a writing workshop themed “Sustainable Tourism” on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Micro Teaching Lab of Universitas Hamzanwadi. This activity was coordinated by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) of Universitas Hamzanwadi.
The workshop was part of the Wikithon Public Participation IV series organized by BASAibu Wiki-NTB, designed as a collaborative learning space for students to develop critical ideas about the future of sustainable tourism in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
During the activity, students were encouraged to reflect on various tourism-related issues in their local surroundings and to design concrete ideas or programs that could support the development of sustainable tourism. Participants also received guidance, ranging from brainstorming ideas, introduction to opinion writing techniques, to composing argumentative narratives.
Through this workshop, students were motivated to understand the importance of public participation while voicing their ideas through digital literacy. It is hoped that the enthusiasm of the younger generation will generate innovative ideas that contribute to the development of sustainable, inclusive tourism in NTB, with positive impacts on both the community and the environment.
