Universitas Hamzanwadi Strengthens Synergy with the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia

Mataram, Tuesday (May 12, 2026) — Universitas Hamzanwadi attended the event “Whats Up Campus Calls Out ITB and the Simultaneous Signing of Cooperation Agreements with Higher Education Institutions,” organized by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of West Nusa Tenggara at the Hall of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law in Mataram City. In this event, Universitas Hamzanwadi was represented by the Vice Rector II, Dr. Hj. Dukha Yunitasari, M.Pd., who participated in the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia, conducted virtually alongside 1,000 leaders of higher education institutions across Indonesia.

In addition to the signing of the cooperation agreement, the event was also marked by the handover of a communal patent certificate for Gendang Beleq as an effort to strengthen the protection of intellectual property related to regional cultural heritage. Various discussion sessions were also held, covering innovation, intellectual property, and the downstreaming of university research outcomes, which are expected to deliver tangible benefits to society.

The Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of West Nusa Tenggara, I Gusti Putu Milawati, stated that collaboration with higher education institutions is a strategic step in fostering a culture of innovation while enhancing legal protection for intellectual works and local cultural assets. This synergy is expected to promote greater legal awareness within the academic community, optimize the utilization of public legal administrative services, and increase the registration of intellectual property within university environments.
