Universitas Hamzanwadi Strengthens the Role of Partner Villages and SDGs Achievement in 2026 Community Service Program Coordination

Universitas Hamzanwadi held a coordination meeting for the implementation of the 2026 Community Service Program (KKN) on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the Campus Meeting Room. This activity aims to strengthen the policy direction and technical implementation of KKN as an integral part of community service within the framework of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

During the meeting, it was conveyed that the implementation of KKN is directed to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), strengthen partner villages, and develop the university's role as a center of excellence. Currently, Universitas Hanzanwadi has established 22 partner villages that will continue to be developed. These partner villages are expected not only to serve as locations for KKN but also to be utilized in the future as centers for ongoing faculty research and community service activities.

The coordination meeting also discussed several strategic aspects, including determining the implementation model for KKN (MBKM scheme or course-based), the implementation timeframe, and the mechanism for determining KKN locations. Furthermore, the importance of evaluating the use of the MBKM application and the need for uniform guidelines at the faculty level were also discussed.

Various inputs from faculty leadership highlighted the importance of enhanced coordination, simplification of administrative processes, and strengthening KKN outputs, including publications and intellectual property rights. Additionally, the implementation of a thematic KKN based on village needs was proposed to ensure program sustainability and more targeted impact.

Through this coordination, it is expected that the implementation of the 2026 KKN program can proceed more effectively and in an integrated manner, providing tangible contributions to the community and village development, while simultaneously supporting the achievement of the university's key performance indicators.
