Workshop on Strengthening Village Information Systems Held at Universitas Hamzanwadi

Selong, April 28, 2026 — Universitas Hamzanwadi organized the Lokakarya Penguatan Sistem Informasi Desa (SID) on April 28–29, 2026, at the Microteaching Laboratory as a strategic effort to enhance the quality of digital-based village data governance. The activity was attended by village representatives as well as Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) students from various faculties who are deployed across 35 villages in 11 sub-districts in East Lombok.

During the activity, KKN students were encouraged to take an active role as facilitators and companions for villages in managing and updating village information data. This capacity-building effort is considered essential to ensure that each village possesses accurate, integrated data that can be utilized for development planning based on the real needs of the community. Through this approach, KKN students are positioned not only as program implementers but also as agents of digital transformation at the village level.

The workshop featured speakers from Bappeda Provinsi NTB, Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Desa, as well as the Direktorat Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Hamzanwadi. The speakers presented policies and strategies for village data management and highlighted the role of higher education institutions in supporting data-driven rural development. Through this activity, it is expected that stronger synergy will be established among the government, higher education institutions, and village communities in realizing independent and information-based villages.
